Safety & Quality Assessment System

It is with great satisfaction that we announce that between 6th and 10th of June, 2011 two distribution terminals of Donauchem Polska, in Jaworzno and in Rokietnica n/Poznan, were subject to an SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment System) audit, attaining 95% of compatibility with the applicable criteria (Jaworzno terminal has received such satisfactory assessment once already).

The SQAS concerns companies in the chemical sector conducting distribution, transport-logistical and warehousing operations. It was established in mid 1990s in Europe as a result of few years’ efforts of the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) with the objective of creating a uniform assessment system for SHE (safety, health, environment).

SQAS is systematically monitored and adapted materially to the constantly changing requirements of producers, consumers and technologies of the chemical sector.
The audit is conducted by a duly authorised CEFIC expert in accordance with a questionnaire, updated every two years, which consists of approximately 800 questions.
The presence of SQAS in Poland dates back to the year 2003.

Donauchem is one of two Polish distributors who underwent an SQAS audit in accordance with the ESAD II module.

The results of the assessment are very positive and give us considerable satisfaction, for good European companies usually receive audit results of about 70% compatibility.

The result obtained by Donauchem Polska confirms that our company is one of the small group of leaders in our sector, who maintain the highest standards of processes, thereby acting as professional and responsible representative of producers on the Polish market.

Moreover, Donauchem Polska is a participant of Responsible Care Programme and operates in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards as well as HACCP system.
